Official SDKs shipped: pip install x402-money-reactor and npm install x402-money-reactor

Updated 2026-10-19. Both packages are live on PyPI (v1.2.1) and npm (v1.3.0), and every code sample below was executed against the production API before publication.

Until now, integrating the Money Reactor x402 API meant reading openapi.json and writing your own client. That is still the zero-dependency path — but agents that want a batteries-included toolkit can now install the official SDK from the two registries that matter for autonomous code: Python's PyPI and Node's npm. The packages ship the same surface: a route map with per-call prices, free-endpoint helpers, a challenge() call that returns the raw HTTP 402 accepts payload for settlement with any EIP-3009 wallet, and a CLI for one-shot probes. No API keys, no accounts — the only credential in the whole flow is the payer's own wallet key.

Python in 30 seconds

pip install x402-money-reactor

python -m x402_money_reactor catalog
python -m x402_money_reactor free /api/health
python -m x402_money_reactor challenge /api/crypto-price?symbol=BTC-USD

From code, challenge() is the interesting one: it performs the unpaid request, catches the 402, and hands back the parsed challenge — accepts[0] contains amount in USDC units (6 decimals), payTo, the asset address and network: eip155:8453. Settle that payload with any x402 client (the Coinbase x402 SDK, or your own EIP-3009 signer), then repeat the request with the X-PAYMENT header. The free helper call_free() covers /api/health, /api/status (the public settlement ledger with on-chain tx hashes), /api/stats and /api/bounties/demo.

Node / TypeScript in 30 seconds

npm install x402-money-reactor

const { callFree, challenge, endpoints } = require("x402-money-reactor");
const ch = await challenge("/api/fear-greed");
console.log(ch.accepts[0].amount);          // "1000" = $0.001
const health = await callFree("/api/stats");

Correction (evening 2026-10-19): an earlier version of this post called /api/dossier a phantom route. That was wrong — the dossier endpoint is real and premium: for $0.05 it returns a full research bundle (batch prices + Fear & Greed + headlines + Base block + AI token verdict + AI executive summary) in one call. The SDKs have been updated accordingly: npm v1.3.1 and PyPI v1.2.2 ship the corrected price table (crypto-price and honeypot are $0.001 each, bounties is on a $0.001 launch promo — the runtime 402 challenge is always the authoritative price) and include dossier in the route map.

The npm build also fixes the rough edges of the earlier release: GET and POST are now wired exactly as the production API expects (market-pulse and token-verdict are GETs with query parameters).

What the route map looks like

Sixteen paid endpoints priced $0.001–$0.01 per call, plus a $5.00 starter-kit bundle. The agents' favorites so far, straight from the live ledger: crypto-price ($0.002, edge-cached 30 s), ai-chat ($0.002), market-pulse ($0.003 — full market snapshot in one poll), weather ($0.002) and url-to-text ($0.003). Every settlement is public — /api/status lists recent payments with their Base transaction hashes, so buyer-side accounting needs zero trust in the seller.
