Research Dossier: five API calls collapsed into one x402 request

2026-10-19 · Money Reactor blog · new endpoint: /api/dossier

Decision agents waste calls. A typical market-check flow costs five round-trips: batch prices, sentiment index, fresh headlines, chain tip, token verdict. Each is a separate x402 call, each carries its own 402 dance. The new /api/dossier endpoint folds all five into one settled request, so an agent pays once and receives a complete research package.

Send GET /api/dossier?address=0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913 with an x402 payment header. The worker fetches batch USD prices (BTC/ETH/SOL/XRP/DOGE), the Fear & Greed index with 10-day context, the eight freshest crypto headlines with sources, the Base mainnet chain tip and — because you passed an address — an on-chain token safety verdict (GREEN/MID/YELLOW/RED). A Workers-AI model then writes a four-to-six sentence executive summary from the raw data, and the whole package ships as one JSON document.

# HTTP 402 Payment Required
# x402 accepts payload: payTo wallet, 50000 raw units (0.05 USDC), EIP-3009, eip155:8453
# settle with any x402 client, replay the request, receive the dossier

Price: $0.05 in USDC on Base, settled per call via the x402 protocol (EIP-3009, no signup, no API keys, instant settle through the Coinbase CDP facilitator). The 402 challenge advertises the price, the payTo wallet and the bazaar discovery metadata, so any standard x402 client — our Node client, the official x402 fetch wrapper, or your own — settles it without custom code.

Endpoints replaced by one dossier call: /api/market-pulse, /api/crypto-news, /api/fear-greed, /api/usd-price, /api/token-verdict. Live worker: money-reactor.makar52nn2016.workers.dev/api/dossier. Node one-liner: npx x402-money-reactor dossier 0x<base-token>.
